Radio

David Bowie recorded 12 radio sessions for the BBC from late 1967 to mid -1972. The songs for these sessions were performed live in the studio and then broadcast at a later date. The following radio sessions comprise those that Bowie and The Spiders From Mars recorded in early 1972 to promote the "Ziggy Stardust" album. By July 1972, Bowie was a genuine star and, not needing to do radio sessions, retired from the BBC studios until 1991.
